When is the best time to visit United Arab Emirates?
The United Arab Emirates spans across the Arabian Desert, meaning that certain times of year can get very hot. I have been in Dubai every month of the year and have some tips!
If you plan to explore outdoors, the most pleasant weather is generally found between November and March. The winters bring in nice cooler temperatures. And, you will find that winter in Dubai is quite festive, with loads of holiday themed attractions popping up around the city.
For the cheapest hotel, car, and activity prices, you might visit during the low season, which runs during the summer months of May to September. Expect extremely hot weather outside. If you plan to spend time indoors, at the air-conditioned malls, or if you want to lounge by the sea, it will be fine.
Spring and fall are also great options. It will be hot but not oppressive and you’ll have fewer crowds.
Transportation
Getting There: International visitors will most likely arrive at the Dubai International Airport (DXB) or the Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH.) These airports are roughly one hour apart by car.
Getting Around: Those who want to get off the beaten tourist track should think about renting a car. The roads are pretty calm though they do see lots of traffic at rush hour.
Alternately, Dubai has an excellent Metro system for getting around the city. Uber and taxis are also easy options.
Lastly, consider booking tours if you prefer to have a stress free vacay!
