Rent a car in Aruba.
One of the best ways to get around the island is to rent a car. This will allow you to explore the island at your own pace and visit places in Aruba that are well off the tourist track.
I had a rental car for my entire first trip to Aruba, and it was the best way to get to know the island, in my opinion.

Take a tour.
Seeing the island’s tropical desert scenery while being carted around effortlessly by a guide is a great way to go.
While there are plenty of tours to choose from, I recommend this one on your first or second day in Aruba. It will give you a good baseline of understanding where you are and what sights you want to visit more in depth!
Over the course of a full day, you will travel in an air conditioned vehicle to places like the California Lighthouse, the Ayo Rock Formations, the Gold Mill ruins, and Baby Beach. You’ll even have the option to snorkel or swim here.
Honestly, this tour can’t be beat as an introduction to the island!

How Do I Get from the Airport to My Hotel in Aruba?
The easiest way for most Aruba visitors to get from the airport to your hotel is through reserving Private Airport Transportation before you arrive. It is hands down the most stress-free option, especially for first-timers on the island.
A private driver will meet you at the airport when you land and assist you with your luggage. You’ll get you to your hotel quickly, without multiple stops and without the hassle of standing int he taxi line..

Exploring Aruba Through Tours
Taking a tour is a great way to get to know a destination on a deeper level. I highly recommend taking at least one so that you get to see more and learn more about this awesome island.
Taking a tour with a knowledgeable guide always teaches you more about a destination than you could understand on your own. Locals know their homes on a deep level.
A variety of tours are available in Aruba, from guided sightseeing tours to snorkeling excursions to outdoor adventure tours. They typically provide door to door transportation from your hotel, and sometimes include lunch or other extras.
Even a freedom-seeker like me finds value in taking day tours.

Renting a Car in Aruba
Renting a car in Aruba is a great way to see the island.
With a rental car, you can visit Aruba’s best beaches, scenic viewpoints, and unique places that may not be easily accessible by public transportation or tours.
Rental cars can be picked up from Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) when you first arrive in the country.
Let’s talk about the many facets of renting a car in Aruba.
